Hot off the Press – New Qualifications for the Housing Sector

The National Social Housing Fire Strategy Group is proud to announce that three new qualifications are being launched at the Fire Sector Summit which is being hosted at Whittlebury Hall on Thursday 24th 2013.

A new suite of regulated qualifications have been developed to provide staff in residential properties with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage fire risks. The qualifications are the result of collaboration between The National Social Housing Fire Strategy Group (NSHFSG), The Fire Protection Association (FPA), Fire Sector Federation (FSF) and the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA) working with SFJ Awards to identify best practice.

There are three qualifications including a basic Award aimed at those who need an awareness of risk but not necessarily the skills to identify and introduce solutions, through to Certificates that
are aimed at individuals carrying out risk assessments in simple and complex properties.

SFJ Awards have released a press release regarding the qualifications .
