The inquest into the tragic deaths at Lakanal House in 2009 has now concluded and the coroner has issued narrative verdicts and under Rule 43, also wrote to various bodies including the Fire Sector Federation, Southwark Council and Department for Communities and Local Government.

A special panel meeting is being arranged by NSHFSG to discuss the recommendations made by the coroner on April 30th. The panel will consist of the Chair of the National Social Housing Fire Strategy Group, Chief Fire Officers Association, BAFSA, Chartered Institute of Housing and a couple of other panel members are still to be confirmed.
